Well now, shit just got real. Bill Rogio over at the LongWarJournal reported that large portions of the Free Syrian Army has essentially ‘defected’ – or depending on how you look at it simply vocalized in word and paper their support and alliance with the hard-liner elements effectively aligned.

What is of key interest though is that “The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, al Qaeda’s other affiliate that operates in Syria, did not sign the statement.” What to make of that is anyone’s guess.
